Fulton County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. For a current answer, contact the government office that holds the record.

Where Fulton Records Are Held

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office and Fulton County Jail handle county booking and county-custody questions. The Circuit Clerk handles court cases and dispositions. A city police department may hold the arrest or incident report, while the sheriff holds the county jail booking record and any booking photograph maintained there. These offices are not interchangeable.

For a sheriff FOIA request, the county says to write out the record sought and provides a five-business-day response statement. The page lists the first 50 black-and-white letter-size pages as free, with $0.15 per page after that. Requests may be sent to the email above, mailed to P.O. Box 269, Lewistown, IL 61542, faxed to 309-547-2355, or delivered to the Washington Avenue address. Illinois FOIA generally uses a written request and a five-business-day response rule under 5 ILCS 140/3, subject to extensions and exemptions. The arrest-report rule in 5 ILCS 140/2.15 does not turn the county's website into an automatic photo feed.

Choose the Custodian First

Start with the record type and custody state. The county has not verified a public jail roster, booking feed, most-wanted list, warrant portal, or jail-search app. InmateSales appears in the official visitation instructions as a jail-services vendor, not as a public booking search. The county lookup page explains the official-first path and its records-request fallback.

  • For a Fulton County Jail booking record, booking photograph, arrest report, bond entry, or release or transfer record, contact the sheriff's FOIA officer.
  • For a case number, docket event, or disposition, contact the Circuit Clerk. The court record is not a substitute for a jail booking photo.
  • For a Canton, Farmington, or Lewistown police incident or arrest report, use the city route below. Ask the sheriff separately for a county jail photo.
  • For an Illinois state-prison record, use the IDOC offender search. It is for state custody and does not document a public mugshot field.
  • For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. It is not a Fulton County booking search and no public photo field was observed.
  • For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator, subject to its identity and coverage limits. ICE status is not a county booking result.
  • For a custody or release alert where the jurisdiction participates, check VINE. VINE is a notification service, not a booking-photo gallery.

Municipal Police Routes

A city police report and a county jail booking are separate records. The following contacts are the starting points documented in the county research.

Canton Police Department

2 N. Main Street
Canton, IL 61520

309-647-5131

Police report and FOIA request

The city states five business days, with a possible five-day extension, and 50 black-and-white pages free before its listed copy charge.

Farmington Police Department

322 E. Fort Street #101
Farmington, IL 61531

309-245-2426

Farmington FOIA page · City forms

Lewistown Police Department

119 S. Adams Street
Lewistown, IL 61542

309-547-2226

Lewistown Police Department

Canton has a police FOIA request page. Farmington provides a city FOIA route but no verified city arrest feed in the reviewed material. Lewistown directs report questions to the department and has no dedicated local form or fee schedule identified here. Farmington spans Fulton and Peoria counties, so the city department and the county sheriff should be asked which custodian holds the particular event.
